In IP, as in many other walks of life, teamwork is essential. That’s why we’ve developed close links with a number of specialists in allied fields so that we can provide the best possible service for our customers.
Our in-house team includes patent and design attorneys, who have direct contact with our customers, and who manage the day-to-day filing, prosecution and maintenance of their customer’s IP rights. We are experts in our particular technical disciplines, and can work together to maximise the benefit to our customers. We are supported by a general and accounts manager who deals with administration, records and accounts.
Our “external” team includes a network of independent, specialist advisors, who provide ad-hoc assistance in relation to specific issues falling outside our core areas of expertise. The external team is made up of specialist IP solicitors, who can broker deals, handle licensing and provide litigation support. We also use external IP barristers to provide opinions on points of law and evidence, to provide mediation services and to handle certain aspects of the pre-action protocols in IP disputes. We can also provide liaison between out customers and other professionals, such as IP valuation experts, grant funding providers, business and tax advisors.
